S.S. Badger Lake Michigan Carferry 

The S.S. Badger, a historic coal-fired steam engine car ferry, offers daily sailings between Manitowoc and Ludington, Michigan. The 2025 sailing season is set for May 16 to October 12. Accommodating up to 600 passengers and 150 cars per trip, passengers can enjoy amenities like food and drinks, a movie theater, a museum, and Badger Bingo. In addition, Shoreline Cruises are available four times a season, offering scenic tours along the coastline on June 14, July 19, August 2, and August 16. Learn more about the S.S. Badger here!

Manitowoc Marina

If you’d like to arrive on your own boat, make plans to dock at the Manitowoc Marina. Open seven days a week, you can enjoy access to this full-service marina facility and boatyard, complete with fishing charters and boat repairs as well as kayak and bike rentals.

Located along Interstate 43, Manitowoc County Airport is open for public use, providing a convenient place to land if you’re flying privately into the area. Plus, Chicago and major Wisconsin airports are an easy drive away.
